Intimate Partner Violence in Vulnerable Contexts: A Case Study

A case study of domestic abuse is presented from the perspective socio-structural basis gender violence. The research analyzes violence based on accounts a group 30 women who have suffered and filed reports at Judicial Unit for victims in city Cuenca (Ecuador). Survivors agreed to express their voices experiences voluntarily natural context. results demonstrate, one hand, enormous weight social pressure stereotypes, with resulting fear, guilt, sense helplessness. On other guarantees safety assistance institutions that should protect them not always been within reach, nor they sufficient.
